 Master Therapists

Stephanie Schoenberger, M.A.

 Ms. Schoenberger graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2008. During her time as an undergraduate, she assisted in research for the Autism Treatment and Research (ASTAR) Program and worked as a substitute and assistant preschool teacher. Upon graduation she moved to the DC area and was hired as a therapist for AOI. She graduated from George Mason University in the spring of 2010 with her Master of Arts degree in Applied Developmental Psychology, with a focus on applied behavior analysis and theory of mind abilities in children with autism. Ms. Schoenberger is currently a Master Therapist and is pursuing her BCBA certification.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Kristin L. Williams, M.A.T.

Ms. Williams graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching with licensure inEarly Childhood Special Education (birth-3rd grade), from James Madison University in the summer of 2010.  Her student teaching was in a public preschool classroom working with at risk children, in addition to children with diagnosed disabilities.  Ms. Williams has worked with children on the spectrum in classroom settings for the past 4 years.   She has been an ABA therapist at AOI during summer sessions since 2008.  Ms. Williams hopes to pursue her BCBA in the near future.

 

 

 

 

 

 Sarah K. Shores, M.A.T.

Ms. Shores graduated from the Maryland Institute College  of Art (MICA) with a BFA in General Fine Arts in 2006, and a Master of Arts in Teaching in 2007. While at MICA, Ms. Shores volunteered at The Maryland School for the Blind, designing and implementing interdisciplinary art curriculum focusing on holistic and cross-curricular connections to exceptional and at-risk students aged 8-21.  Upon graduation, she received her teaching license in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade Art, and relocated to the Northern Virginia area. Ms. Shores was an Elementary Art Educator in Fairfax County for 3 years before her past experiences with special education as well as exposure to special needs in the public school setting inspired her to join Autism Outreach in the summer of 2010.  She plans on pursuing her BCBA, and is happy to be a part of such an amazing and inspiring team here at AOI!

 

 

Rabia Badar, RPh

 

Rabia Badar graduated from Howard University in 2008 with her Doctorate in Pharmacy. She started working for CVS/Pharmacy as the RPh (registered pharmacist) until 2010. As she was working towards her degree, she worked part time at the Huntington Learning Center in 2006 as a Teacher and decided that she would like to grow within the company. After leaving her career of pharmacy she took the full time position of Director of Education at the Learning Center and has worked with them for 6 years. She always had a passion working with kids and volunteered her time in public libraries reading stories to the kids and tutoring occasionally. She joined the AOI team in January 2012 and she looks forward to make a difference in the lives of the wonderful children at AOI.

 

 

Senior Therapists 

 

Aditi Saklani, B.S.

 Ms. Saklani graduated from George Mason University in 2009 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. In 2007, Ms. Saklani started working with children with autism spectrum disorders emphasizing on in-home floor time services and natural environment settings. In February of 2008, she joined AOI as an Associate Therapist where she began her training and work with children with autism through 1:1 ABA therapy. In fall of 2009, Ms. Saklani began working as a full-time Senior Therapist for AOI. She is currently pursuing her BCaBA and Master’s Degree in Special Education.

 

 

 

 

 Rose Casaleno, B.A.

Ms. Casaleno graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2006. In January of 2008, she joined the AOI team as an Associate Therapist. Since then, she has implemented 1:1 ABA therapy with a wide range of children across the spectrum ranging in ages from 3-19. In February of 2011, she began working full time as a Senior ABA Therapist for AOI. She plans on pursuing her BCBA in the near future.

 

 

 

 Associate Therapists

Kelly Muldoon, B.A.

Kelly Muldoon graduated from Shepherd University in 2010 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation and Leisure studies with a concentration in Sports Communication. In college, she developed a passion for social work from an “Inclusive Recreation” professor who later became her mentor and taught her to make each and every activity accessible to those with special needs.  Communication has always been a passion of hers, and helping individuals to achieve their communication goals is something she takes pride in.  In addition, Kelly has worked as a caregiver for children for over 10 years and comes from a very large and close knit family which has fostered her love for children. Kelly joined the AOI team in April, 2011 and plans to pursue her BCaBA certification.  

 

 

 

 

 

 Saskia Wise, B.A.

Saskia graduated with honors from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2010. Her undergraduate research focused on cognition and learning processes in children age 4-14.  Prior to joining the AOI team, Saskia worked in a caregiving capacity for children with a wide range of behavioral disorders. She is currently working towards her BCaBA certification.

 

 

 

 

 

Nicolle Solivan, B.S.

Ms. Solivan graduated from Penn State University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development & Family Studies.  During her undergraduate studies she focused on early childhood development and adolescents with behavioral disorders.  She gained further experience in these fields by working in the University Child Care Center as a Pre-school Teaching Assistant and also for the Centre County Youth Service Bureau as a Residential Counselor for adolescent girls. 

 

 

Catherine Lane, B.A.

Ms. Lane graduated from Marymount University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology. From 2005-2006, Ms. Lane volunteered for the Breakout program at McLean Bible Church for young children with special needs. During the Summer of 2011, Ms. Lane volunteered for Therapuetic Recreation Services under Fairfax County Government. In the Fall of 2009, Ms. Lane was hired as a part-time ABA therapist at AOI with a concentration in Social Group working with ages 5-10+. She soon branched out and began implementing 1:1 ABA therapy. In January of 2012, Ms. Lane was promoted to a full-time position and now implements 1:1 ABA therapy as well as leads social group for children ranging from 3-12. Ms. Lane is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Social Work and Special Education as well as her BCBA.

 

 

 

Joshua Vickstrom, B.A.

 Joshua Vickstrom started working with Autism Outreach, Inc. in May of 2009 in Fredericksburg, Virginia while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Psychology with a concentration in physiological approaches to individual treatment and some classes in Applied Behavioral Analysis at the University of Mary Washington. During his undergraduate studies he led multiple award-winning research teams on a variety of topics ranging from visual processing phenomenon to variables that affect student test performance. Upon completion of his Bachelor of Science, he became the first full-time male therapist for AOI. Joshua has a firm, but compassionate approach to his clients. He has worked with a wide variety of age demographics, diagnosis severities and behaviors. Although he is young, he has actively sought situations and opportunities for growth and experiences. He is currently enrolled in the Florida Institute of Technology BCBA curriculum to become a consultant.
