Preschool Pals
Preschool Pals is a program designed to prepare our children for the mainstream kindergarten setting. We strive to foster the skills necessary for success by focusing on cognitive, motor, self help, and social skill development.
Our program is unique in that we use the principles of ABA, a research based practice, to teach these skills to our children. We place a heavy emphasis on generalizing these skills, which means that our students are exposed to a variety of activities and routines in an effort to mirror the environment of a typical preschool classroom.
We will focus on these specific skills:
- Roles and Jobs (Circle Time)
- Language Development (Circle Time)
- Pivotal Response Training (Free Play Observation)
- Parallel and Interactive Play (Centers)
- Manding (Snack)
- Gross Motor Skills
